Store samples lie: under warehouse lights every beige looks the same. We park at your door with 20+ full-size carpet samples, lay them in your own light next to your own walls and furniture, measure every room and stair — and hand you a written, itemized price before we pull out of the driveway. One visit. Zero guesswork. Zero pressure.
Many standard carpet projects in King and Snohomish counties cost roughly $4–$7 per square foot installed, including carpet, pad, labor, tack strip and haul-away when those items are in scope. Premium fibers and complex layouts can exceed that range. A typical project is often $2,000–$4,500; a 1,200 sq ft main floor with a staircase may run $5,500–$8,500. Fiber, cushion, roll layout, stairs and any furniture moving set the final written price after our in-home measure.

Choosing the material
Fiber influences the material portion of a carpet quote. These are general comparisons; the exact product, pile construction, cushion, room layout and stairs matter just as much.
Often an affordable, soft option for bedrooms. Compare pile density and the specific stain warranty if the room gets heavy traffic.
Typically chosen for resilience in active rooms, halls and stairs. Its price varies widely by construction and grade.
A soft synthetic fiber available in stain-resistant lines. Compare the actual carpet and backing, rather than fiber name alone.
A natural-fiber option that often costs more upfront and needs care suited to the product. We can discuss available samples at your visit.
We itemize carpet, cushion, installation, removal and any stairs in your written quote; premium fibers or pattern matching may put a project above the standard installed-price guide.
Pick a time on the calendar and the mobile carpet showroom comes to you. One visit gets you samples in your own light, exact measurements, and a real price — not a ballpark.

Book online or call. Evenings and Saturdays are open across both counties — you don't burn a workday to look at carpet.
Plush, frieze, berber, pattern, wool and pet-proof nylon — plus all three carpet pad grades. We lay them where they're going.
Every room, closet and stair, laid out line by line before we leave your driveway — no callback with a bigger number.
We move the furniture, pull the old carpet, haul it away, and power-stretch the new one tight. Most homes: one day.
Starting prices, not final ones — carpet grade, stair style and how much furniture is in the way all move the number. You get the real one in writing at the visit.
Mill-direct pricing on the carpet and the cushion under it. No storefront overhead in the middle.
New tack strip, seams heat-welded, power-stretched tight so it stays flat for years — not rolled out and tucked.
Waterfall or cap-and-band stair carpet, priced per step. Landings and pie-shaped turns are in the quote, never billed later.
Ripples, waves and trip hazards pulled out with a power stretcher. Keeps good carpet for a fraction of replacing it.
Carpet, pad, staples and the dump fee. Nothing left in your garage.
Beds, dressers, couches — our crew moves them and puts them back. You clear the small stuff.
Moisture-barrier cushion that stops accidents reaching the subfloor — and the odor that follows.

Smooth and soft underfoot. Bedrooms and rooms nobody runs through.

Hides footprints and vacuum marks. The safe answer for a whole house.

Tight curl that shrugs off traffic. Hallways, stairs, houses with kids.

Flecked, dense, cheap to live with. Basements, bonus rooms, rentals.

Quiet geometry for the stairs and hallway guests actually look at.

Sealed backing, bleach-cleanable fiber. Dogs win, the carpet survives.

Natural fiber, deepest color, ages the best. Primary bedrooms.

Flat and dense — the lowest cost per year of use. Offices and turns.
Cheap cushion is why carpet feels dead in three years. All three grades ride in the van.
Fine for guest rooms and rentals.
A supportive option for many rooms; we confirm the selected carpet's cushion requirements before quoting.
Spills stay on top of the pad, not in the plywood.
Type in your rooms. This is arithmetic, not a quote — but it's the same arithmetic we do, so you'll know whether to keep reading.
Check the math
Measure a room’s length and width in feet. Length × width = square feet; divide by 9 = square yards. A 12 × 12 ft room is 144 sq ft, or 16 sq yd before cutting. A rough 10–20% allowance would bring that example to 17.6–19.2 sq yd, but the amount to order may differ.
Carpet comes in fixed roll widths. Seam placement, closets, stairs, pattern repeat and the direction of the pile can change the cutting plan. We measure the layout at your home before ordering, so use the formula for planning rather than as a purchase quantity.
Half the "we need new carpet" calls we get are really a stretching job — about a fifth of the cost. We tell you which one you're looking at, even when the cheap answer is the one that pays us less.
Not sure which one you're looking at? Photograph your carpet on your phone — a close-up of the ripples and one of the whole room — and one of our estimators will tell you whether it's a $99 stretch or a replacement, with a written price by email the same business day. No visit, no sales call.

A knee kicker helps position carpet at an edge; a power stretcher creates the controlled room-wide tension needed for many stretch-in installations. A wall trimmer finishes the perimeter, and seams require their own tools and technique. These tools may be available to rent locally, but availability and rates change. Using a kicker alone to stretch an entire room can leave ripples or damage the backing. We can inspect a loose carpet and tell you whether a professional stretch is enough or replacement makes more sense.
"The installers were great! The floor is exactly what we wanted. They also did the stairs, which were carpet. We worked with OC Flooring previously — highly recommend!"
"They placed plastic sheeting over the cabinets to contain the dust, so we noticed hardly any. The floors look as good or better than new. Would definitely recommend."
"We chose them because they were professional and top-notch. The work was smooth, fast and cost-effective — such skill and precision!"

Many standard installations cost roughly $4–$7 per square foot for carpet, pad and labor, with the exact scope itemized on your quote. Premium wool, patterned carpet, stairs, removal and furniture moving can change the total. A typical project is often $2,000–$4,500; a 1,200 sq ft main floor with a staircase may run $5,500–$8,500. We measure the rooms and show you the real price in writing.
Yes. Our mobile carpet showroom comes to your home anywhere in King or Snohomish County with 20+ carpet samples and all three pad grades. We lay the samples on the floor they are going on so you see the color in your own light, then measure every room and stair and leave a written price the same visit. No store to drive to, and the visit is free.
Carpet stretching starts at $99 per room anywhere we serve. Power-stretching pulls out ripples, waves and trip hazards for roughly a fifth of the cost of replacing the carpet, so it is the right call whenever the pile is still standing and you still like the color.
Stair carpet installation starts at $18 per step, in waterfall or cap-and-band style. Landings and pie-shaped turns are counted in the written quote up front rather than billed as an extra later.
Most homes are carpeted in a single day. Three or four rooms plus a staircase is a comfortable day for our crew; a whole house with stairs and a lot of furniture can run into a second day. The schedule is written on your quote.
On most jobs, our crew can move standard beds, dressers, couches and tables and put them back. Please clear closets, small items, electronics and breakables before we arrive. Heavy or specialty pieces, such as pianos, safes or aquariums, need to be discussed at the estimate and may require a separate mover. We spell out any furniture-moving charge in your written quote.
Stretch it if the pile is still standing, the backing is intact and you still like the color — that is a $99-per-room fix instead of a replacement. Replace it if traffic paths are matted flat, seams are splitting, the backing is delaminating, or pet odor survived professional cleaning. We tell you which one you have before we quote.
We carpet homes across King and Snohomish counties — Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, Mercer Island, Shoreline, Kenmore, Woodinville, Bothell, Everett, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mukilteo, Mill Creek, Marysville, Monroe, Lake Stevens, Snohomish and Arlington — plus Whidbey Island and Oak Harbor.
Solution-dyed nylon with a sealed backing over a moisture-barrier pad is the best carpet for pets. The sealed backing and barrier pad stop accidents from reaching the subfloor, which is what causes lasting odor, and the fiber can be cleaned with diluted bleach without losing color. The pad upgrade starts at $0.65 per square foot.
OC Flooring includes a 1-year workmanship warranty on carpet installation. If you notice a seam, wrinkle or other installation concern, contact us so we can inspect it under the written warranty terms. The carpet manufacturer's separate wear and stain warranty varies by product; its cushion and care requirements matter too. We review the applicable coverage and pad specifications with your quote.
After installation
A mild new-material odor may be noticeable at first. Bring in fresh air and use your ventilation system when practical during the first 48–72 hours; how quickly it fades depends on the products and airflow. Ask us about low-emission carpet and cushion options if this is a concern.
Some new cut-pile carpets shed loose fibers. Regular vacuuming with a machine suited to your carpet should reduce this over time. If a single yarn sticks up, clip it carefully rather than pulling it out.
New carpet should lie flat. If a ripple, wrinkle or seam issue appears, contact us promptly so we can inspect it and explain the next step under the applicable written workmanship and manufacturer warranty terms.
One visit: carpet samples in your own light, every room and stair measured, and a written price before we leave. Free, and there's no reason to say yes on the spot.
