Hickory brings dramatic natural color variation and one of the hardest domestic wood faces, and the brushed surface adds texture. A high performance polyurethane finish with aluminum oxide is backed by a 35 year residential wear warranty and a lifetime manufacturing warranty, with 28.42 square feet per box. It suits homes with dogs and heavy traffic, but hickory reacts strongly to moisture swings, so indoor humidity should be held between 30 and 50 percent. Homeowners in Bellevue, Seattle, Everett and across King and Snohomish County can see samples at home; OC Flooring installs with a free in-home estimate.
