Important Details about the Refinishing Process
It is important to note that with each sanding and refinishing process, a portion of the valuable wood from the top wear layer is removed. Whether you have solid wood floors or engineered floors, both types have a limited lifespan and can only be sanded a certain number of times.
Typically, floors have approximately ¼" of wear layer, and once the initial thickness is reduced to the tongue, the floors will start to weaken. Therefore, our approach is to be extremely cautious and remove only the absolute minimum amount of wood necessary. Our goal is to preserve the structural integrity of your floors while still delivering a stunning finished result.
